ROCK... THE RACE
Get wet and dirty in the YMCA of Rock River Valley’s 7th Annual Rock...the Race. This 8 hour or 4 hour adventure race is designed to challenge both novice and experienced racers. Held through out numerous Winnebago County Forest Preserves, Rock...the Race will lead you on a completely unique adventure.

Teams of 2-4 racers in co-ed, or non co-ed divisions, will plot a course utilizing multiple disciplines. A new high school division has been added this year. The open format race includes biking, canoeing, trekking, orienteering, ropes section and mystery events.

Each team will receive information at the start of the race to help them decide how to approach the course. The object of the race is to locate "checkpoints" along the course. A score is given each time a team locates a "checkpoint". The team with the highest score, in each division, wins. (Teams must return to the finish line within the 8 or 4 hour time limit to be considered ranked.)
