The YMCA is proud to be part of the Get Moving effort in the Rock River Region. 

Get Moving! is a broad collaboration of community agencies and groups, brought together by the YMCA of the Rock River Valley, that have committed to improving the quality of life for residents in our region.

This initiative is part of “Pioneering Healthy Communities,” a national YMCA effort. A major area of concentration for the Rockford PHC group is increasing the active living and healthy eating of youth, aged 5-11, in 2008 and 2009.
