 
Stingrays Swim Team
The YMCA of Rock River Valley provides youth ages 5 to 18 with a competitive swim team experience with the goal to develop the whole person in spirit, mind and body.
A current membership to the YMCA of Rock River Valley is required to join the team.

Fees:
13-18 year old swimmer: $120
9-12 year old swimmer: $110
5-8 year old swimmer: $100
- Fee must be paid in full before attending first practice.
- Participation in as competitive swim meets is highly encouraged, but is optional.
- Swimmers must swim in three meets to compete in the championship meets.
We need and expect parent support!
Parents or responsible adults are expected to volunteer. We are responsible for running our home swim meets, please plan to share in the responsibility. Check the Stingray Bulletin Board (located by the pool emergency doors on the second floor of the Pennock Branch) for updated information.
Rookie Week
(A rookie is someone who has never swam on the Rockford Stingrays Team)

An introduction to the Stingrays Swim Team
Try the team and meet the coaches before you commit to the team.
Cost: $10 (This fee will be applied to your swim team fees)
Schedule:
Age group is determined by swimmer's age as of June 1, 2008
Age 5 to 8 Must be able to swim 25 yards with rotary breathing
Mon/Tues/Wed: 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.
Age 9 to 18 Must be able to swim 50 yards with rotary breathing
Mon/Tues/Wed: 7:15 to 8 p.m.
A swim meet for all rookies will be held on Thursday, May 15 at 6:30 p.m.
All ages included.
Stingrays Swim Team Season begins May 19, 2008
Age Groups (determined by child's age as of June 1, 2008)
All competition is based on these age groups:
- 8 and under
- 9-10 year olds
- 11-12 year olds
- 13-14 year olds
- 15-18 year olds
