Child Care Services

These child care options are free for members of the YMCA of Rock River Valley.

ID Pennock Family Y

Playroom (Infants - 6 Yrs) - Free child care service for your child(ren) while you use the YMCA facilities.  Limited to three hours per day.  Parents MUST remain on the YMCA premises.
Care is available for limited members for $5 for one child, $9 for two children, or $11 for three or more children.

Please Note: There are financial consequences for going over the 3-hour limit or picking up children after closing times.

Hours Starting September 6, 2011
Monday - Friday:8 AM - 8 PM
Saturday: 8 AM - 4 PM
Sunday:

CLOSED(Sept. & Oct.)
11 AM - 4 PM (Nov. to May)

Adventure Center - Three story, indoor playground for children ages 7 to 10.  Children 6 and under or over the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult. 

Optional 7-UP Care: Supervision for children ages 7-10 in the Adventure Center.  Limited to three hours per day.  Free to YMCA members.

Hours Starting October 10, 2011
Monday - Friday: 8 AM - 12 PM & 3 - 8 PM
Saturday: 8 AM - 4 PM
Sunday: 11 AM - 4 PM

Family Center / Computer Accessability - The Family Center is a family-friendly zone.  Activities include Foos Ball, Sportwall, Bumper Pool, Air Hockey, Table Tennis, Wii, Dance Revolution games, and over 20 board games to play in the Atwood Lounge.  CARING, RESPECT, HONESTY and RESPONSIBILITY are expected behaviors. 

Story Time - Several times a month in the Playroom (IDP) and Kids Care (NEB) we will have story time during the morning and evening hours.  Children’s stories, songs, and activities will all be part of the fun.  Look for schedules in the Playroom and Kids Care.

Playgroup - Everyone needs a little socializing, especially in the early days of being a new mom.  It’s important for both you and your baby.  Your baby will learn the valuable skills of how to interact with other children and get a change of scenery.  It’s also important to get to know other moms, as they can provide valuable support, advice, and local knowledge.

Northeast Family Y

Kids Care (Infants - 6 Yrs) - Free child care service for your child(ren) while you use the YMCA facilities. Limited to three hours per day. Parents MUST remain on the YMCA premises.
Care is available for limited members for $5 for one child, $9 for two children, or $11 for three or more children. Patients of Swedish American Rehabilitation will receive one-half off Kids Care fees.

Saturday: 8 AM - 4 PM

Prime Time Family Center - The Prime Time Family Center is a family-friendly zone, which includes the adventure center, game room, and lounge area. Children 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Family Center is open for members during regular business hours.

The Adventure Center is our three-story playground that is designed as a play area for 7-10 year olds. Children 6 years and under and over the age of 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
The Game Room features Ping-Pong, Air Hockey, Billiards, Hoop Fever, Wii, Dance Revolution, Sportwall and various types of board and card games. Board games, Wii and Dance Revolution are available for members to use when the area is monitored by YMCA staff.

Conduct in the Prime Time Family Center is expected to be consistent with the YMCA core values of CARING, HONESTY, RESPECT AND RESPONSIBILITY.
