Black / Latino Achievers
Black/Latino Achievers inspires students to excel by effectively linking them to professionals to enhance self-esteem, improve academic performance, and broaden career options. The program includes weekly leadership meetings, fun, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, college tours, and a Teen Summit. The school year program ends with a recognition banquet highlighting the year’s events and celebrating the youth and adult achievers. This program is available for all high school students.
Program Objectives
- Expose young people to a wide range of educational and career opportunities.
- Help young people develop educational and career goals.
- Develop each youth’s self-esteem, self-respect, and social moral character.
- Provide young people with role models from diverse backgrounds.
