Youth Achievers
An Afro-centric socialization program for Middle School
youth ages 12-14. This program features interesting, challenging
workshops and exciting fun-filled educational field trips.
Learn To Earn
Serves youth ages 16-18 who are at risk of dropping out
of school. With a goal to help teens stay in school and improve
math and reading scores, this program features tutoring, job
and life skills training, leadership skills, mentoring, and internships.
Black/Hispanic Achievers
Leadership development for teens. This program exposes
teens to a wide range of educational and career opportunities
that
build
positive self-esteem, self-respect, and social moral character.
Youth in Action
Youth in Action is a program for boys and girls entering grades 6-9. The program promotes community service, leadership, and friendship. Program meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 9:00-11:30 am to complete community service projects. On Fridays, students attend fun-filled trips to various locations. The program is FREE of charge. Meeting location is I.D. Pennock Branch.
Teen Reach
Teen REACH intergrates community efforts on behalf of youth and teens, working through collaborations of local schools, organization, businesses, human service providers, and the Illinois Department of Human Services. The program provides a fun and safe environment of youth entering grades 6-9 in the 08/09 year. They learn new life skills while growing academically. Additionally, the program offers free golf lessons, hip-hop dance, and art classes. Each Friday, participants attend fun field trips.
Link to Success
Assists participants ages 17-18 in achieving their General
Education Degree and entering into employment or post-secondary
education.

An SES Certified program focusing on math and reading
